Dele Alli is reportedly hoping to return for Tottenham 'by the end of the month' following a recurrence of a thigh injury.

Alli sat out victories against Huddersfield and Cardiff, and was also left out of the England squad for upcoming fixtures against Spain and Croatia.

According to Mail Sport, both club and player have earmarked the trip to West Ham on October 31 as a target, although the following week against Wolves may be more realistic.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are now sweating on the fitness of Danny Rose after the left-back withdrew from the England squad with a groin problem.

Rose joins Alli – as well as Christian Eriksen, Serge Aurier, Jan Vertonghen and Mousa Dembélé – on the Spurs treatment table.
