Declan Rice happy at West Ham thanks to 'special connection' with fans | OneFootball

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is paying no notice of transfer rumours thanks to his current happiness at the club and a special bonds with the fans.

The recently-capped England international has been an impressive performer for the Hammers this season.

That form has resulted in speculation surrounding his future, with Manchester City believed to be interested in signing the 20-year-old this summer.

Rice though, has insisted he is paying too much attention to the speculation.

“I’m happy playing week in, week out,” he told BT Sport. “I have a special connection with the fans.

“I love every minute of being here. When I’m linked to other teams, I don’t really take any of that in.

“I’m only 20, with my whole career ahead of me. I’m playing with a smile on my face at West Ham and enjoying it.”

Rice won his first England caps last month following his controversial switch from the Republic of Ireland.
