Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina is expected to complete a loan move to Napoli this week.
The Serie A club have already signed Alex Meret and Orestis Karnezis this summer but want to bring in one more experienced goalkeeper before the transfer window closes for Italian clubs on Friday.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli will pay a €1m loan fee for Ospina and will have the option to make the deal permanent for an already agreed sum next summer. That option will become obligatory should the club win Serie A.
Ospina has spent four years at Arsenal but has never been first choice, playing second fiddle to Wojciech Szczesny and then Petr Čech.
The Gunners’ capture of Bernd Leno this summer saw Ospina relegated to third in the pecking order and Arsenal have made it obvious they are happy to listen to offers for the Colombian number one.
