David Alaba confirms he's staying at Bayern Munich this season | OneFootball

David Alaba revealed his commitment to Bayern Munich in an interview with Bild.

Despite interest from both Barcelona and Real Madrid, Alaba put all rumours to rest by directly declaring he’s staying in Munich.

“I’m staying at FC Bayern,” Alaba said, “I have a contract until 2021 and I feel very comfortable in Munich.”

Alaba is without a doubt one of the best left-backs in the world, and this news will put Bayern fans very much at ease, especially after Alaba’s own father spoke of Real Madrid’s interest in the 25-year-old.

Although Alaba has made his intentions absolutely clear, Bayern will still be on the hunt for a left back as, according to multiple reports, Juan Bernat will be headed out the door after not impressing over the last couple of seasons.

Whoever they decide to pick up will have to realise he’s die Roten’s second choice and will have to work very hard to earn minutes.
