Daniel Iversen joins Rotherham United on season-long loan

Leicester City goalkeeper Daniel Iversen starred with League Two’s Oldham Athletic last season and has earned a move up to League One for the upcoming season.

On Monday, the Foxes announced that the 22-year-old has joined Rotherham United on loan for the upcoming season.

Rotherham were relegated last season and are very much expected to compete for promotion back to the second division.

“I’m really happy to sign here,” he told the club website.

“I played in League Two last year and I think it’s a good match for me to come to League One now and show what I can do.”

Iversen arrived from Danish side Esbjerg in 2016 for about €250,000 and was Denmark’s starting goalkeeper during the U-21 European championships.
