Cristiano Ronaldo will make his Juventus debut against Chievo on Saturday, with the Ballon d’Or winner starting up front alongside Paulo Dybala.

The Portugal international joined the Bianconeri for €100m in July and was first seen in the famous stripes last weekend in their annual friendly against the youth team.

That’s the only minutes Ronaldo has had since the World Cup, but coach Massimiliano Allegri has opted to name the 33-year-old in his opening XI of the campaign.

He starts alongside the Argentina international, supported by Douglas Cost and Juan Cuadrado.

Leonardo Bonucci, who returned to the Old Lady this summer after his season-long spell with AC Milan, is picked in the heart of defence with his old pal Giorgio Chiellini.

João Cancelo, another new recruit for the reigning champions, also makes his debut at right-back.

Juventus XI: Szczesny; Cancelo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Khedira, Pjanic; Cuadrado, Dybala, Douglas Costa; Ronaldo

Subs: Perin, Pinsoglio, Benatia, Matuidi, Barzagli, Mandzukic, Emre Can, Rugani, Bentancur, Bernardeschi
