While Corinthians prepare for their Copa do Brasil round-of-16 clash with Flamengo, with the first leg set to take place this Wednesday, they will have one eye on the television.
That’s because on Monday night, the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana draws will take place in Luque, Paraguay.
Among the Brazilian squads, Botafogo, Corinthians, and Fluminense have all advanced from the first round, while Atlético Mineiro finished third in Group E of the Libertadores and now join them in the Sudamericana.
Galo and Botafogo will be in pot 1 while Fluminense and Corinthians occupy pot 2. The clubs in pot 1 have the advantage of playing the second leg at home.
There are no international restrictions, therefore, Corinthians could possibly face either Botafogo or Atlético Mineiro.
