On Wednesday, Corinthians announced the long-awaited signing of Fluminense winger Everaldo.
The two sides finally reached an agreement that will keep the 24-year-old at the club until 2023.
According to Gazeta Esportiva, Corinthians paid about R$2.5m (€550,000) to complete the deal.
Fabio Carille’s newest squad member will be available for Sunday’s Clássico Majestoso against Sao Paulo.
After joining from Velo Clube-SP last July, Everaldo was tremendous for the Rio side and quickly earned a regular place in the starting XI.
In 34 games in all competitions, Everaldo scored three goals and contributed eight assists in 34 games.
