Just nine days separate Celtic from their Europa League round-of-32 first-leg tie away at Copenhagen and the Danes will be extremely short-handed heading into next Thursday’s clash.

Top striker Jonas Wind, along with Denmark international left-back Nicolai Boilesen and midfielder Robert Mudrazija had already been ruled out due to a myriad of long-term injuries.

The absences of star Denmark international winger Viktor Fischer, in addition to regular starters Jens Stage and Iceland international centre-back Ragnar Sigurdsson could leave Copenhagen without up to six members of their ideal starting XI.

Copenhagen, who are currently second in the Superliga, qualified for the knockout stages by finishing second in Group B behind Malmö and ahead of Dynamo Kyiv and Lugano.

Celtic, meanwhile, won their group by finishing one point ahead of CFR Cluj, with the duo qualifying miles ahead of Lazio and Rennes.
