South America competes for the 2019 Copa América as the quest to overthrow champions Chile begins.
With the added participation of Asian nations Japan and Qatar, the countdown to the group stage draw on January 24 begins.
Dates and times
Although the groups have not yet been drawn, Brazil, head of Group A, already know their set dates and times for the first phase of the competition.
First, Tite’s men will play at the Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo on June 14 at 9:30pm.
They will then travel to Salvador for the second fixture in the Arena Fonte Nova. Finally, the squad returns to São Paulo for the last game of the group stage on the 22nd, at the Corinthians Arena.
Cities and stadiums Brazil will play in
Should Brazil qualify first, the Seleção can play in Mineirão, where they suffered a 7-1 defeat to Germany in the 2014 World Cup.
If they win the group on the 27th, Brazil will play at the Arena Grêmio, at 9:30 pm, in the quarterfinals. Then, the semi-finals will be played on July 2, will be played in Belo Horizonte at Stadium of Mineirão, also at 9:30 pm. The final will be played at the Maracanã Stadium on July 7 at 4pm.
Should Brazil qualify second, they will play at the Maracanã on June 28 in the quarters, the semi-finals would take place in the Arena of the Grêmio on July 3 while the third-place fixture will be held at the Corinthians Arena on July 6.
