Wolves captain Conor Coady has hailed the performances of debutants Jesús Vallejo and Max Kilman in Thursday’s clash with FC Pyunik.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side won 4-0 at Molineux to make it 8-0 on aggregate and set up a meeting with Torino in the Europa League Play-Off round.

And Coady was particularly impressed by two of the players who featured alongside him at the back.

“They were brilliant,” Coady told the club’s official website.

“We know the quality that Max and Jesús have – Jesús has come in from Real Madrid and you know he’s a top, top player, but I think the way they fitted into the shape and the system was the most impressive thing.

“Max is a brilliant kid, he really is. He’s trained with us for a long time now and he knows how to play the way we want to play. You have to remember that he’s a young boy playing at a Premier League club, and he’s learning every single day.

“It was important that we helped Jesús, but he’s a really clever lad who wants to be here, wants to improve and wants to help us move forward, and I think that’s refreshing to see.”

Wolves face Manchester United in the Premier League on Monday night before travelling to Turin in mid-week for the next phase of their European adventure.

“I can’t wait,” added Coady.

“The times coming for this club are absolutely amazing. I think we need to pinch ourselves sometimes at where we are, but we’re embracing it.

“We’ve got Manchester United then we go to Turin for a European tie – it’s incredible for the football club.”
