Conmebol reveal format and calendar for 2019 Copa América


Twelve teams will participate in five cities across six stadiums in the 46th edition

Conmebol have revealed the new format for Copa América 2019, which will return to Brazil after 30 years.

Twelve teams will participate in five cities, with Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Sao Paulo hosting the 46th edition of this South American spectacular.

Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela and guest nations Japan and Qatar will take part between June 14 and July 7 next year.

The calendar is as follows

Belo Horizonte

Mineirao Stadium – Five matches

Group phase – June 16, 19, 22 and 24

Semi-final – July 2


Porto Alegre
