Club América will be without two key players when they take on Cruz Azul in the second leg of the 2018 Apertura Finals on Sunday.
The two sides are deadlocked at 0-0 heading into the return meeting at Estadio Azteca, and it seems Cruz Azul could have more than just home advantage.
That’s because Los Azulcremas will have to play without both Mateus Uribe and Roger Martínez.
Uribe was stretchered off after falling awkwardly following a clash with Igor Lichnovsky.
The Colombian midfielder was transferred to a clinic for tests, and the early signs suggest he will almost certainly miss the second leg.
Elsewhere, América boss Miguel Herrera reported in his post-match press conference that Roger Martínez suffered a muscle injury during the game, and he is unlikely to have recovered by Thursday.
So bad news for América, and the second leg should be very interesting.
