Clément Lenglet has admitted that he is glad that speculation surrounding Neymar’s return is “finally over”.
The Blaugrana were heavily rumoured to be interested in re-signing the Brazilian striker from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Representatives from Camp Nou were believed to have visited Paris on two separate occasions, with their second and final bid including Ousmane Dembélé plus €170m.
That was ultimately rejected by the Ligue 1 giants who will now be able to call on Neymar – until January, at least.
And Lenglet has conceded that the noise surrounding the potential deal was distracting Barça from their title defence and upcoming Champions League campaign.
“Neymar? There were many rumours,” Lenglet told Canal+.
“It was a very hectic period for the club.
“Finally it’s over. This way we can work a little easier.”
