Globoesporte reported on Monday that the trial of Corinthians striker Clayson was postponed until after the Campeonato Paulista final second leg against Sao Paulo.
According to the website, the Sports Court of São Paulo has complied with Corinthians’ request for deferment. Therefore, the player is released and has been allowed to play the match.
The attacker is being charged under article 258: “Any conduct contrary to discipline or sports ethics not typified by the other rules of the Sports Justice Code.”
In a video released last week by Corinthians TV, tthe striker disrespected referee Raphael Claus by screaming “Suck it, Claus!” on the way into the dressing room following their shootout victory over Santos in the Paulista semi-finals.
