Though the full slate of matches, locations, and times won’t be released until 27 March, the International Champions Cup released their full list of 12 participants for this year’s tournament, which will include Chivas – the only non-European team.
AC Milan, Benfica, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Juventus, Tottenham, Inter, Atlético Madrid, Roma, Real Madrid, and Chivas make up the 12-team field.
This will be the first time Chivas have participated in the tournament, which will take place in the United States and Asia.
This will be the second time Chivas will be on the world stage in the last year, having taken part in the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup after winning the CONCACAF Champions League.
They suffered embarrassment in the UAE, losing 3-2 against Kashima Antlers before losing in penalties to Espérance de Tunis on Tunisia to finish in sixth place.
