A great Chivas talent could start his professional career on Wednesday
Sebastián Martínez traveled with Chivas to play the final game of the Copa MX group stage against second-division side Tapachula.
In October, the Guardian named Martínez as one of the 60 best young talents in world football.
‘Chevy’ has been compared to Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández for his extreme goalscoring output.
This is the first time ‘Chevy’ has been called up to the senior team and could have a few minutes to make his debut.
With Chivas on seven points, they have already qualified for the knockout stage of the competition, which will give manager José Cardozo a chance to give some youngsters and reserves a confidence boost and some rare playing time.
