Giorgio Chiellini has revealed how he persuaded Moise Kean to stay at Juventus amid concrete interest from elsewhere.
The 19-year-old has made just one start this season – on March 3 – but scored twice against former club Hellas Verona.
Offers from Germany and England arrived during the January transfer window, but Chiellini urged Kean to stay and fight for his place until the end of the season.
“Kean? His main talent is scoring goals,” he told reporters. “Now he must grow in consistency and improve daily, which is not easy.
“In January, when he had the opportunity to leave, but I advised him to stay because the season was long.
“Now he is enjoying this moment, I hope it’s just the beginning for him.”
Kean is seen as the future of Italian football and has been called up for by Roberto Mancini for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers.
