“You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what’s expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should. And what do you get back? Literally nothing… done.”
In case you missed them, those were the words posted — alongside a blank black image — by Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda on Instagram this week.
The 20-year-old was thought to be referring to the lack of first-team opportunities he has received at the club and he reportedly apologised to Chelsea for his comments.
Supposedly, he was then reprimanded by the Blues and a report has now suggested that they are set to send him out on loan.
The Evening Standard believe that Chelsea are still big fans of Musonda and his potential but they think his development would be best served elsewhere.
The Blegium youth international has played only a single minute of Premier League football so far this season.
He spent most of 2016 on loan at Real Betis, with mixed success, but Chelsea are now said to be ready to loan him out again as early as January.
Whether or not Musonda would be open to another loan deal is another matter.
