Chelsea are reportedly ready to treble Callum Hudson-Odoi’s wages in a last-ditch attempt to keep him at Stamford Bridge.

Bayern Munich have made four bids for the teenager this month – their latest in the region of £35m – despite him never starting a Premier League game.

According to Mail Sport, Chelsea have offered Hudson-Odoi a new five-year deal worth £80,000-a-week, treble what he is currently earning.

The 18-year-old is understood to be ‘keen’ on a Bundesliga switch and will reject any offers put forward to him.

Examples set by England youth team-mates Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson are beginning to influence young English talent struggling for minutes in the Premier League.

Maurizio Sarri told reporters on Friday that he “doesn’t know” if the club will be able to persuade Hudson-Odoi to stay.

The winger has been limited to two Premier League appearances this season, both as a sub.
