Chelsea will allow Maurizio Sarri to depart for Juventus this summer if the Italian champions stump up £5m in compensation.
The Italian tactician’s future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain, despite guiding the Blues to two cup finals and Champions League football in his debut season in England.
There is now a vacancy on the bench at the Allianz Stadium next season, with Juventus having announced that Massimiliano Allegri will exit when the campaign concludes.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are willing to let Sarri replace him in Turin if their £5m valuation of their coach is met.
Although Sarri has expressed his desire to stay due to being happy in London, no decision will be made until after the Europa League final against Arsenal.
If he does decide to return to his homeland and replace Allegri at Juventus, Chelsea will not stand in the way of Sarri’s wishes.
However, given that he has another year remaining on his deal worth £5m per season, the Blues want to recoup that same amount in compensation.
Should Sarri guide Chelsea to continental success in Baku, it will enhance his prospects of keeping his current job.
Antonio Conte, Mauricio Pochettino and Carlo Ancelotti are the other names who have been linked with the Bianconeri hot seat.
