Ajax are likely to be receiving a number of transfer offers for the heroes of their sensational Champions League run this year.

And despite the fact they currently have a transfer ban looming over them, one of those bids could be coming from Chelsea.

As things stand, the West London club are banned from making new signings for the next two windows but an appeal has been lodged with the Court of Arbitration for Sport and there is hope that the punishment could either be delayed or overturned altogether.

And if it is, the Press Association claim they will move for Ajax wide man David Neres.

Neres drew rave reviews for his performances in the Champions League this season and ended up with 12 goals and 15 assists in all competitions as Ajax scooped a Dutch league and cup double.

The 22-year-old Brazilian is reportedly valued at approximately £40m and is represented by Giuliano Bertolucci and Kia Joorabchian – two agents who are understood to have a good relationship with Chelsea.

With Eden Hazard reportedly poised to join Real Madrid after the Europa League final, Chelsea will hope they’ll be able to sign a replacement.

And Neres wouldn’t be a bad option at all.
