Chelsea planning a shock move for Ghanian striker

He already has Álvaro Morata and Michy Batshuayi but Antonio Conte is greedy when to comes to strikers and he wants more.

But the question is: who is next on the list? Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang? No! Karim Benzema? No! Richmond Boakye? Perhaps.

Boakye plays for Red Star Belgrade and he has been banging in the goals for them this year (30 and counting!) including this beauty against Köln in the Europa League.

That is a very decent striker from a very decent striker (who also offers the odd assist or two), one whom Conte will know about from their shared time at Juventus.

According to reports, Chelsea are sending scouts to watch Boakye play when he comes up against Arsenal in the coming weeks, with the possibility of them making a move for him in January.

Boakye began his career with Genoa and has had spells with Sassuolo, Elche, Atalanta and Latina – who went broke and were forced to give him away for free – before arriving at Red Star and evidently finding both his feet and his form.
