Chelsea are ‘hopeful’ that Tammy Abraham will be fit for their game against Aston Villa on Wednesday.
Abraham missed the Blues 1-0 defeat to West Ham at the weekend after picking up a hip injury in last week’s Champions League draw with Valencia.
But according to Football.London, Frank Lampard is counting on the England international to be fit for their clash at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
Olivier Giroud was handed a rare start against the Hammers on Saturday but failed to impress as the west London club went down to a rare defeat.
It’s thought that should Abraham be unavailable for the game on Wednesday then Chelsea could start with Christian Pulisic as a false nine.
