Chelsea have confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi will undergo surgery tonight (April 23) after rupturing his Achilles tendon.
Hudson-Odoi was forced off during the 2-2 draw against Burnley on Monday, and later tweeted that his season was over.
An official statement read: “Callum is seeing a specialist this afternoon and is expected to undergo surgery on his ruptured Achilles tendon this evening.”
Depending on the severity of the injury, the 18-year-old is likely to be sidelined for between six and nine months.
