Chelsea and Tottenham are set to fight it out for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer, with the French outfit looking for around €60m.

The 21-year-old was one of the breakout stars in Ligue 1 last term, becoming a permanent fixture for Les Gones and earning rave reviews for his performances in the middle of the park.

L’Equipe have claimed that Mauricio Pochettino’s men have made the first move – offering €40m for the man they believe would be the perfect replacement for Mousa Dembélé.

That’s €20m off what owner Jean-Michel Aulas values the former Amiens star at, and as we’ve seen from Liverpool’s pursuit of Nabil Fekir, they drive a hard bargain.

Chelsea are also believed to be keen on Ndombele’s signature, but only if, as reported, N’Golo Kanté leaves for Paris Saint-Germain.
