On Friday, Everton striker Cenk Tosun provided an update on the knee injury he suffered earlier in the month while on loan at Crystal Palace.
The 28-year-old netted in his full debut against Manchester City but was sent back to Goodison Park after suffering a torn ACL in training and is now undergoing treatment at Finch Farm.
“I had my operation yesterday which is a success so now I am going through rehabilitation,” Tosun told Turkish outlet Haberglobal.
“But I am going to be out for a long time. I believe there is a reason for everything. I am going to try and return even stronger.”
Tosun joined Everton in January 2018 from Beşiktaş and was tipped for massive success but has failed to deliver thus far, contributing just 10 goals and six assists in his 51 appearances since his £27m move.
