Celtic’s remarkable domestic unbeaten run ended with a humbling 4-0 defeat away at Hearts on Sunday.

Goals from Harry Cochrane, Kyle Lafferty and a Manuel Milinkovic brace condemned Brendan Rodgers’ side to their first defeat since 12 May 2016 and shaved their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to just two points.

Hearts, meanwhile, are currently on an unbeaten run of their own (six matches) and are now up to fourth in the table – ahead of local rivals Hibernian on goal difference.

It was 16-year-old Cochrane who opened the scoring at Tynecastle with just his second goal in professional football when he drilled home a super left-footed strike from the edge of the box after 26 minutes.

Ten minutes later, Lafferty made it 2-0 when his shot from range cannoned in off the foot of the post.

And three minutes into the second half, Milinkovic capitalised on a dreadful defensive error from Jozo Šimunović to make it three.

The Frenchman then wrapped up an emphatic victory when he converted from the penalty spot after Hoops goalkeeper Craig Gordon had upended Ross Callachan in the box.
