Southampton are looking to offload winger Sofiane Boufal this summer and Celta Vigo have been keen on holding onto the Moroccan after a successful season on loan with the club.
Celta Vigo currently have a €16m option to buy the player, however, according to Spanish outlet Atlantico, the LaLiga outfit are currently in talks with the Saints over a lower fee.
It’s believed that Celta could snatch the player for as little as €8m after Boufal helped the club narrowly avoid relegation last season.
In 2016, Southampton paid a club-record €18m to sign the player from Lille but managed to only contribute four goals and three assists in 59 appearances with the Saints.
With two years remaining on his current deal, it’s believed that Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl could be willing to give Boufal a final chance to impress at the Premier League level this season.
