Casemiro risks missing this month's Clásico

As we edge closer to el Clásico, Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro becomes more likely to miss the game.

The Brazilian has four yellow cards in LaLiga this season and a fifth would see him miss the following match.

Casemiro’s fourth booking of the league season came a month ago and he has since played three times without going into the referee’s book.

However, he’ll now be walking a tightrope for the next couple of weeks.

Real Madrid play Espanyol at the weekend and a booking would see Casemiro ruled out of the following week’s clash with Valencia.

But if he avoids a yellow card and then picks one up at the Mestalla, he will be ineligible for the trip to Camp Nou.

Looking back on it, he may be wishing he’d have been booked at the weekend and could put his feet up ahead of the crucial trip to Madrid’s biggest rivals.
