Carlos Tevez has urged for patience after Boca Juniors lost their first game under new coach Gustavo Alfaro.

Boca lost 2-0 at home to Unión de Santa Fe and are now sixth in the Argentine Superliga table.

Far from a good display, Tevez did not look for excuses but did call for time from supporters.

“We have to have patience, we have very little training time, players left and others came in,” he said.

“This is normal, we must not go crazy, there are four or five of us who played the last game, nothing more. It takes time.

“We must not go crazy, we have another test to recover and try to find the best team to play in Rosario for the Super League.”

Boca Juniors are next in action when they host Aldosivi on Monday.
