If anyone in the world is one to not care about playing a slew of matches in a very short period of time, it’s Celtic’s Callum McGregor.
The 26-year-old featured an incredible 69 times for club and country last season (third in the world), racking up a total of 5,894 minutes – more than any other player in world football.
Though the Hoops have Europa League football in addition to Premiership and Scottish League Cup fixtures ahead of them, the Scotland international can’t be bothered.
“We’re also used to playing Thursday-Sunday too. We can handle that.
“The games come around that bit quicker, but we’ve proved that we can handle that pretty well, and that experience can only help us in what we’re trying to achieve this year.”
Aside from Celtic’s second-leg fixture against Kalju Nömme, where they already had a 5-0 first-leg advantage, McGregor has played every single minute for Celtic this season.
