Callum Hudson-Odoi has told Chelsea he wants to join Bayern Munich this month.

That’s according to Sky Germany, who report that Hudson-Odoi met with Blues director Marina Granovskaia on Monday and expressed his desire to move to the Bundesliga.

The 18-year-old played a starring role in his side’s FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday and the west Londoners are desperate for him to sign an extension to his current deal, which is set to expire in June 2020.

But the England under-19 international has played just 42 minutes of Premier League football all season, and he reportedly believes he has a better chance of regular game-time elsewhere.

Sky Germany claim Bayern have now increased their offer for Hudson-Odoi to €30m, but Chelsea value the youngster at closer to €45m.

According to The Sun, the Bavarian outfit are so keen to sign him that they’ve even promised him Arjen Robben’s iconic number 10 shirt when the Dutch maestro leaves at the end of the season.

Speaking over the weekend, Cesc Fàbregas – who is poised to leave Chelsea for Monaco – was in no doubt about Hudson-Odoi’s potential.

“He has got everything to make it in world football,” said Fàbregas.

“I have told him that if he does not really make it at the very top I will be disappointed because he is one of these talents you can see can be fantastic.

“He can be world class, so he just needs to keep his feet on the ground, keep working hard.

“He is a humble boy, he really loves playing football and hopefully he can really make it very soon.”
