Ben Chillwell says the Leicester City squad were immediately impressed with Brendan Rodgers.

On Thursday, Chillwell revealed what was said the first time the former Celtic boss met the team.

“The first time we met him was the Brighton game, he came into the changing room after the game and had a chat with us all and he explained what he expects from us as players and what we can expect from him as a manager,” he said.

“When he left the changing room then, everyone said ‘he seems really good’. The confidence he had there, saying that ‘we are going to improve as a team.’

“Even on the weekend, (referring to Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United) he said ‘if you don’t score goals against an opposition that sits in in a year’s time then I am to blame.

“But we are going to improve and we are going to work hard against those sorts of opposition.”

Leicester City will be on the road to face West Ham on Saturday.
