Manchester United have been hit with a major injury blow.
Eric Bailly, arguably the only central defender at the club who is an automatic first-choice, will miss ‘two or three months,’ according to his manager.
José Mourinho revealed on Friday that the defender had opted for surgery on his troublesome ankle.
Bailly is expected to recover in time to play this season but a three-month timeline would only see him return in mid-March.
Due to a combination of injuries and suspensions, the Ivorian has only made ten appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season.
