Philippe Coutinho is set to make his long-awaited Barcelona debut after the club confirmed his return to full fitness.

The Brazilian is yet to make an appearance for the Blaugrana since joining from Liverpool earlier this month but has been named in the squad for Thursday evening’s Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg clash against Espanyol.

New signing Yerry Mina is also in the squad, while Andrés Iniesta and Paco Alcácer are in line to return from their respective injuries at Camp Nou.

Coutinho – who became the Catalan club’s record signing when moving from England in a reported €160 million move – hasn’t played since picking up a hamstring injury on 30 December.

Earlier on Wednesday, it was announced the 25-year-old will wear the number 14 shirt vacated by Javier Mascherano, who has signed for Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune.

Colombian defender Mina is also yet to make his Barça bow since joining from Palmeiras for a reported €12m.
