Borussia Dortmund will reportedly have to pay in excess of €55m if they are to sign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea.

The Belgium international has been a revelation since he left Stamford Bridge for the Westfalenstadion on loan in January.

With nine goals in 14 appearances, the Bundesliga giants were keen to make the striker’s move permanent at the end of the season.

However, the London Evening Standard are reporting on Tuesday that the Blues don’t want to see the 24-year-old leave so easily, and have put a €55m price tag on his head.

Batshuayi has played his last game for BVB this season, with the club confirming that he has damaged ankle ligaments in last weekend’s 2-0 loss away at Schalke.

It means the goalscorer is in a race against time to be fit for this summer’s World Cup – with the tournament in Russia kicking off in just seven weeks.
