Borussia Dortmund have reportedly doubled the wages of star youngster Jadon Sancho as a reward for his rapid rise at the Westfalenstadion.
The teenager has gone from strength to strength since breaking into the BVB first team in early 2018.
According to Bild, the club have seen fit to honour his incredible development by doubling his annual wages from €3m per year to €6m.
However, it is also reported that despite the tweak to his wages, Sancho’s contract has not been extended.
The England international’s current deal in Dortmund runs until the summer of 2022.
Sancho has wasted no time in carrying his scintillating form of last season into this one, starting the new campaign, already contributing two goals and an assist.
“At the moment, Jadon is very happy with us,” sporting director Michael Zorc told Bild. “I don’t know anything about the rumours [of a move] to England.”
Recent reports have strongly linked the teenager with a move back to former Manchester City or rivals Manchester United.
