They may be on top of the Bundesliga table, but Borussia Dortmund are still preparing for the future.
According to French outlet Foot Mercato, Dortmund have made a €4m bid for 17-year-old Rennes attacking midfielder Lucas Da Cunha, which includes a five-year contract offer.
Da Cunha has been capped with France at the U-18, U-17, and U-16 levels, and won the French U-17 title with Rennes last year.
In the quarter-finals against Strasbourg, Da Cunha scored a hat-trick as Rennes ran away 5-2 winners.
Da Cunha just signed a professional contract last year that ties him to the club until 2021.
The 17-year-old is currently playing with the U-19s and has not made a senior appearance with Rennes, who are currently in Ligue 2.
