Jadon Sancho has revealed his favourite fellow football star is Neymar because ‘he takes the Mickey out of people’.

If you want to impress the Borussia Dortmund forward you need to stand out, as he enjoys watching players who are individualistic and different.

Neymar is exactly that, which makes him the player Sancho likes the most, though it was another Brazilian the teenager idolised in his formative years.

“Growing up, my favourite player was Ronaldinho,” he told the Daily Mirror.

“That speaks for itself, really. He was such a great player and always played with a smile.

“Now it’s Neymar, because he’s just different. He takes the mickey out of people. Obviously it’s not good but he’s just being himself, he’s expressing himself and I love that. People are maybe not scared about doing what he does, but they just wouldn’t do the things he’s doing.

“I just think when you are different you stand out more and I like when people stand out because it’s something different, an individuality on the pitch that you just don’t see every day.”

Sancho is catching the eye himself and scored the winner in Dortmund’s derby victory over Schalke on Saturday.

BVB are seven points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table, with German champions Bayern Munich now in third.
