Southampton club-record signing Guido Carillo is considered to be one of, if not, the worst signing in Saints history and could be leaving the club less than 18 months after his arrival.

According to Sky Sports, Argentine giants Boca Juniors are one of many clubs that could potentially offer the 28-year-old regular first-team football this season.

Various teams in Spain, Italy, and even Mexico are also said to be interested in the Argentine’s services.

Carillo signed for about €22m in January 2018 while the club was being managed by his former Estudiantes boss Mauricio Pellegrino but was loaned out to LaLiga side Leganes for the entire season after failing to score in 10 appearances for the Saints.

This past season, Carillo scored six goals in 33 appearances but has only found the back of the net once since the beginning of December.
