As what often happens with aging South American stars, the allure to return to their home country is big. Pardon the pun.

According to reports out of both Argentina and Italy, Boca Juniors are looking to sign 33-year-old defensive midfielder Lucas Biglia from AC Milan.

The 58-time Argentine international has made just 14 Serie A appearances this year thanks to a myriad of injuries and the unexpected rise of Tiemoue Bakayoko.

In addition, with his contract expiring next summer, Milan will likely look to recoup part of the €17m they paid Lazio in summer 2017.

Biglia started his career in Argentina with Argentinos Juniors and Independiente before his European move to Belgian side Anderlecht, where he stayed from 2006 to 2013 before joining Lazio.
