Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa has claimed he hasn’t spoken to Mauricio Pochettino or Pep Guardiola about loaning some of their players this summer.

Both the Tottenham and the Manchester City coaches have cited the Argentine tactician as an influence on their careers.

As such, there had been suggestions that the Elland Road side could sign some of their younger stars on short-term deals.

That though, has been vehemently denied by Bielsa.

“No, I don’t think it would have been a good thing to do to use a personal relationship of respect and love you have for both of them for a professional reason,” he told reporters.

“You don’t have to manipulate the professional decisions.”

Leeds have got off to the perfect start in the Championship this season, winning their opening two games against Derby and Stoke.
