Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has claimed he’s loving his first season in the Premier League and believes his side can do a domestic and European double.

Pep Guardiola’s men are currently 16 points clear at the top of the table and are set to play Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final.

And the Portugal international, who joined the club from Monaco last summer, has given an insight into his first year at the club and their ambitions going forward.

“I am enjoying [my first season] a lot,” he told The National. “It is a good season to be a Man City player or supporter. It has been fantastic so far and we want to keep it that way.

“We always try to win the games. We will try to finish the Premier League as soon as we can.

“We have already won the Carabao Cup, which was an important competition for us and then the Champions League.

“Everyone knows it is a different competition, a special one, but we will try to do our best.”
