Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness admits Callum Hudson-Odoi is still on their radar despite rupturing his Achilles tendon.

Hudson-Odoi was forced off during the 2-2 draw against Burnley on Monday and underwent surgery 24 hours later to correct the problem.

The 18-year-old is expected to be out for at least six months, but that hasn’t deterred Bayern who could return for his signature.

“Karl-Heinz (Rummenigge) and Hasan (Salihamidžić) have said that he is an interesting player,” Hoeness told reporters on Wednesday.

“I think we will keep thinking about it, but unfortunately he’s on the operating table.

“Therefore it makes no sense to comment on this. But our interest is clear.”

Despite submitting a transfer request in January, Chelsea are said to be confident over Hudson-Odoi signing a new contract.
