Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has urged caution over teenage sensation Alphonso Davies.
Davies became the most expensive transfer in MLS history when he joined the club in July for €12m from Vancouver Whitecaps.
However, while there is undeniable excitement around the player, Salihamidzic insists Bayern will “take care” of the teenage sensation.
“He is a great talent,” Salihamidzic told Sportbild. “Alphonso is a super boy, a super character. He is hungry and wants to show what he can do.
“We will take care of Alphonso, do not hype around him. It is very important that he is established in peace and can get used to the Bundesliga.
“If we give him enough time, he has a lot of potential to do a great job here.”
The 18-year-old will wear the number 19 shirt after joining up with his new team-mates on their winter training camp in Doha.
