Bayern playmaker James sends a warning to Liverpool ahead of CL tie

James Rodriguez has sent a warning to Liverpool as his Bayern Munich side prepare to face the Reds in the Champions League next week.

Bayern travel to Anfield next Tuesday in their last 16 first leg encounter, and do so having brushed off their early season troubles under new boss Niko Kovač.

It promises to be a mouth-watering encounter between two excellent outfits and the Colombia international has insisted that his team are ready to take on the Premier League challengers.

“I’m very much looking forward to facing Liverpool,” he told Sport Bild.

“You can’t make mistakes in these games, but I think we can cause Liverpool problems. We have a team that’s good enough to go through if it goes well.”

James has been in and out of the team in recent months following injury and a loss form, but the attacker claims he is now getting back to his best.

“I think I had a good game against Schalke.

“I’m feeling better all the time. I was out for nearly three months. I’m providing more quality with each game, but I can still play better.”
