Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Celtic youngster Liam Morrison.
The 16-year-old defender is yet to make his senior debut but was part of the Scottish champions’ first-team squad during their pre-season trips to Austria and Switzerland.
“I’m really looking forward to wearing the jersey of this big club soon,” Morrison told the Bundesliga giants’ official website.
The centre-back has been capped five times for Scotland at U17 level and opted to move to Bayern rather than sign a professional contract with Celtic.
Bayern academy coach Jochen Sauer said: “Liam had many offers from well-known European clubs.
“We are very glad that he has decided for us. He is a robust, physically strong defender who also brings a lot of quality.”
