Bayern Munich have been handed renewed optimism in their pursuit of one of Germany’s hottest talents, Kai Havertz of Bayer Leverkusen.
The playmaker is being targeted by the German champions as well as several other clubs across the continent, having shone at the Bay Arena since his breakthrough in 2016.
And Bayern have received a big boost, with Havertz’s current coach Peter Bosz admitting that he can’t see his star man remaining beyond the summer.
“We can’t hold onto him next summer,” Bosz told Algemeen Dagblad in reference to Havertz.
“It will be a transfer fee of over €100 million. In this business, it is about developing top talents and selling them on.
“With at least the €100m we will receive, we will try to strengthen ourselves in three or four positions.”
That said, it does remain questionable whether or not Bayern would fork out the fee that Bosz expects to bring in for the 20-year-old.
Bayern boss Hansi Flick is a big fan of the youngster, although FCBInside do claim that internally, Hasan Salihamidžić isn’t so keen on pursuing a deal.
Barcelona, Liverpool and Manchester City have also all been linked with the Germany international.
