Renato Sanches insists he has “no weaknesses” and is aiming to establish himself under new Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovač.

Sanches – a €35m signing from Benfica in 2016 – has failed to meet expectations in the Bundesliga despite arriving as one of Europe’s most exciting young players.

However, the 21-year-old remains confident in his abilities and believes he can contribute to the side this season.

“I have no weaknesses, I’m strong,” he told the club’s official website.

“I’m ambitious, determined and prepared to play this year.

“Kovač is a coach who pushes players. I am very pleased to have a fresh start because I feel that I can still live up to expectations.”

Sanches is yet to feature for Bayern this season and has also fallen out of favour for Portugal, playing just 16 minutes in their Nations League clash against Italy.
